| Jayashree had her early training
in Bharatanatyam under Guru G.V.Ramani and Smt. Ranganayaki Ramani, Mohiniyattam
from Kalamandalam Rajalakshmi and Kalamandalam Sathyabhama and Kathakali
from Guru Gopinathan Nair. She had advanced training in Bharatanatyam under
Kalaimamani Guru Kathiruvelu Pillai, Kalaimamani Guru Mahalingam Pillai,
Guru Ramaswamy Bhagavathar and Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. |
| She also holds a degree
in dance from Bombay University having undergone a course of study at the
Nalanda Nritya Mahavidyalaya. She has evolved a style of her own, which
invariably reflects the traditions of all her gurus. Jayashree is a recipient
of many awards like the All India Best Dancer Award, Samaj Shakti Award
etc. |

Sujatha Nair |
Kum.Sujatha, was initiated to Bharatanatyam
by her mother Smt. Jayashree Nair. She is versatile in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattom,
Odissi and carnatic music.
She is trained in Bharatanatyam
By Guru Mahalingam Pillai, Guru Kathiruvelu Pillai, Guru Ramaswamy Bhagavathar,
Guru Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, Smt. Shobhana Balachadra and Smt. Jayashree
Nair. She is graded artist of the Mumbai Doordarshan. |
She has learned and
continues to learn Mohiniyattom from Smt. Jayashree Nair, Kalamandalam
Rajalakshmi ahd Kalamandalam Leelamma., Odissi from Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra
and Smt. Debi Basu. She had imbibed a few Kathakali lesson from Kalamandalam
Gopalakrishnan and Kuchipudi from Guru Gopinathan Nair.
Sujatha is a recipient of the National
Scholarship for advanced trainig in Bharatanatyam from the Govt. of India.
She is also a scholarship student
in Carnatic Music (Vocal). She had her early training from Smt Sarayu Srinivasan
and continues her advanced study under Smt. T.R.Balamani.
Sujatha regularly performs Bharatanatyam,
Mohiniyattom and Odissi, gives vocal concerts, sings and does Nattuvangam
for dance performances. |
